This par 71 course is the third oldest in Sydney and one of the oldest in Australia, a hard but just test for golfers of all levels. Incorporating undulating fine greens, it is recognised as one of the best putting surfaces in NSW.

Founded in 1897 it has grown to become a spectacular rich variety of vegetation, with a free-flowing course layout.

With raised tees and extended views of the city, it is clear that the design and layout of the course are unique, the sandhills bring there own challenges. There is a vast mix of wispy roughs and rugged bunker lips that can mimic nature, it appears to have been shaped by years of wind and rain.

Tom Howard was the club champion in 1913 and continued winning until 1921 which set a new club record at the time. More recently in 2016, Greg Bell won his eleventh club championship.

New land has been acquired to develop the site over an eight-year period, an up to date distinctive character has been applied by the renowned course architect Ross Watson. Not one of the longest courses but resolute in the challenging par fours.

The works began in 2011, the final stage of this rejuvenation starts in the winter of 2018 and concludes in the Autumn of 2019.
